L. Michelle Images was born from a passion for beauty and the desire to create. I didn’t grow up interested in photography. I grew up with my head in books and the desire to spin wonderful stories like the authors I spent so much time with. I grew up wanting to show people the way I saw the world, the way my stories looked and felt. Photography was the answer. It wasn’t something I set my sights on or an end goal that I chose. Photography found me at a time that I needed it most and caused me to fall in love. It infused my life with a passion that had been missing and made me whole. It has allowed me to write those beautiful stories that captured me in my childhood. For me photography will always be about the moment, the memory, and the story.
Creative and unique images are my goal. I use a client-centered approach to capture memories at the pivotal moments of life. I photograph with the intent to capture people and emotions. My style blends photojournalism and direction in a way that allows personality to show through and produce authentic images. I like for people to feel comfortable and be themselves. I currently provide event photography and family, engagement, and bridal portraits. I plan to expand to wedding photography in the near future. Have other needs? Let me know, I love adventures!
I’m Lanye and I’m the photographer. I love everything about weddings; the small details, emotion-filled looks between the bride and groom, the excitement and anticipation as the bride waits to walk down the aisle, the moment the couple shares their first kiss. My absolute favorite part of the wedding is when the bride sees herself in the mirror after putting on her dress. There is so much in that moment it just takes my breath away.
I love to read but I’m extremely picky about books. I like to try new things and have a hard time saying no to a dare. I make lots of bad jokes and am not afraid to laugh at myself. I like people and I love telling their stories.
